Our Beginning

A Legacy Rooted in Family and Community

The George Brown Memorial Foundation was established in memory of a beloved father, mentor, and community member whose quiet generosity touched countless lives across Ontario. Following his passing, family and friends came together with a shared conviction: that his legacy should live on through the kinds of practical, community-based work he cared about most.

Today, from our home in Barrie, we operate as a registered Canadian charity (Registration No. 835849910RR0001), extending that legacy through education, mentorship, wellness, and remembrance programming.

We work closely with schools, community centres, and local partners across Simcoe County to identify unmet needs and build responsive programs that create lasting change — one family, one student, one neighbour at a time.
